Where Applications Are Submitted in Türkiye

The Spanish authorities state that short-stay Schengen applications in Türkiye are submitted by appointment through BLS International offices serving the applicant's consular area. Applicants should use the official Spanish mission and BLS pages to select the correct location and visa category.

Appointments should be booked through the official channel. Paying an unofficial person for an appointment does not create a valid appointment or improve the chance of approval. The applicant remains responsible for the accuracy of the application even when receiving document-organisation support.

Documents to Prepare and Cross-Check

The final checklist depends on the travel purpose and the applicant's circumstances. A short-stay file commonly requires:

1. A completed and signed Schengen application form.
2. A valid passport and copies of the required pages.
3. A compliant recent photograph.

Passport, Biometrics and Transit

The passport must meet the current Schengen validity, issue-date and blank-page rules. Applicants may need to attend personally and provide fingerprints unless a current exemption applies. A previous Schengen visa does not remove the need to follow the present application instructions.

The Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Foreign Affairs also states that ordinary passport holders travelling through a Spanish airport to a third country can be subject to an airport-transit visa rule. Transit travellers should check the exact route, airport zone and onward documentation rather than assuming that remaining airside removes every visa requirement.

Fees and Processing Time

The European Commission currently lists the standard Schengen visa fee as EUR 90 for adults and EUR 45 for children aged six to under twelve. A service provider may charge a separate service fee, and exemptions may apply to specific categories.

The normal official processing period is 15 days, but a detailed examination or additional-document request can extend it to 45 days.
