Long-Term Work Visa Application Process and Required Documents
A detailed guide covering the long-term work visa application process and required documents....
Turkish ordinary-passport holders are currently exempt from an Oman visa for visits of up to 30 days each, provided their total stay does not exceed 90 days in any 180-day period. Turkish diplomatic, service and special-passport holders are exempt for visits of up to 90 days. This means a traveller from Edirne should not be told that every short visit requires a visa.
The exemption is subject to the purpose, passport and entry conditions in force on the travel date. It does not automatically cover employment, residence, long-term study or a stay beyond the permitted period. Long Vize can help review a travel checklist, but it cannot grant entry or alter an Omani rule. For a general destination overview, see the Oman visa information page.
For an ordinary passport, each qualifying visit can be no longer than 30 days. Separate visits are also subject to the overall maximum of 90 days within a rolling 180-day period. Leaving Oman does not automatically reset that total.
Travellers with recent visits should count every day of presence before departure. A passport exemption should not be used to plan work, residence or another activity that requires prior permission. If the purpose or duration falls outside the exemption, the appropriate route must be confirmed before travel through the competent Omani authority.
Oman's official Royal Oman Police information should be checked shortly before departure. The official eligibility service states that passports should generally have at least six months of validity. A traveller should also confirm current requirements for the planned purpose and carrier.
Useful travel records can include:
Names and dates should match across bookings. Health, customs and medication rules are independent of the visa exemption and must be checked separately.
The Royal Oman Police eVisa portal includes an eligibility service for travellers who need to identify an available visa route. A stay longer than the exemption, employment, residence, study or another regulated purpose may require an eVisa, sponsor-based permission or a different authorisation.
Applicants should use the official `evisa.rop.gov.om` domain and follow the category-specific instructions shown there. Eligibility, fees, supporting documents and validity can vary. No private consultancy can create eligibility, waive a sponsor requirement or guarantee that permission will be issued.
Visa-free travel permits a qualifying traveller to seek entry; it does not guarantee admission. The Omani border authority makes the final decision and may examine the passport, purpose, accommodation, funds and onward arrangements. The traveller should be able to explain the planned stay accurately and comply with the period granted at entry.
Overstaying or using the exemption for an unauthorised activity can lead to penalties and future travel problems. If plans change after arrival, official guidance should be obtained before the permitted period ends.
Long Vize can explain the published exemption, help count previous travel days, organise supporting records and identify questions for the Royal Oman Police. It cannot issue a visa, extend a stay, influence border officers or guarantee entry.
Under the current published rule, no, provided the visit qualifies and the traveller remains within the 90-days-in-180 total.
